Ryan came to find yoga as many new practitioners do, by looking to enhance her fitness routine. For Ryan, what began as an at home exercise video quickly grew into her life’s passion and purpose – providing a safe space for all through yoga.
After practicing yoga once per week through a P90X video series, she transitioned to practicing yoga at Red Hot Yoga 5-6 times per week, which led to Ryan’s curiosity about yoga teacher training. It was through practicing yoga all over North America that Ryan noticed there was a need for more inclusion within the yoga community. So, Ryan took the opportunity to explore a deeper connection to the core values of yoga and develop her own physical and spiritual practice. In 2013, Ryan decided to attend her first yoga teacher training in Atlanta, GA where she received her 200 hour certification. In 2018, Ryan traveled to Asia to study and receive her 300 hour certification in Rishikesh, India. Ryan has studied, taught , and practiced – Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, and Iyengar yoga. After spending some time in India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand studying yoga and practicing meditation she returned to Atlanta, GA to materialize her vision of creating a welcoming space for every//body.
The Yoga Studio Atlanta was founded in 2018 to share information, philosophy, and practices within her community so that anyone can be better equipped to improve their mind and body both on and off the mat. The Yoga Studio Atlanta is a space for all levels, genders, ethnicities, and human beings. The studio offers intimate class sizes that allow Ryan to connect with each practitioner on a deeper level and help guide them as they progress in their practice.
Ryan’s philosophy is to teach yoga with integrity and humility, and to invite every//body to come to The Yoga Studio Atlanta.
